Buxton Athletic Club is a community based, inclusive athletics and running club that offers quality, progressive coaching to all ages and abilities from 7 to 70+. Buxton AC was voted England Athletics Regional Club of the Year 2016 and 2017, and National England Athletics Club of The Year in 2017.

We are a diverse and friendly group of about 150 people from in and around the Buxton area who love to run!
Some of us simply want to get fit and are beginners, whilst others are more serious and want to compete at local and national level. And, of course, there are all those who fall somewhere in between those two camps. Over the years we have encouraged total beginners to start running, and many have stayed the course, achieving personal targets.
Formed in 1977 by our current Club President Chris Bent, we pride ourselves on the fact our club caters for everyone.
We have plenty of members to be able to put out various teams at road, fell, cross country & trail events, and have a great variety of abilities within the Club. Buxton AC members are regularly in the prizes at races, testament to the excellent quality of runners in the Club, always proud to represent Buxton & their Club.
