March saw the end of the cross-country season, and there were some great results for Buxton AC. The vet men’s team achieved promotion to division 2 of the MACCL, with Tania Wilson (2nd VF55) and David Soles (3rd MV60) also putting in fantastic performances to earn their individual toothpaste prizes!
With the fell season now underway, a small contingent headed to Glossop for the Lads Leap race, where Ben Light braved the bogs to achieve a fantastic 2nd place.
On the roads, Dave Finch was 1st V50 in the Trimpell 20 mile race, breaking the club MV50 record with a time of 2:09:17. Over the same distance, Katie Rolfe broke the club FV45 record completing the Knighton 20 in 2:35:38.
Last, but by no means least, the T5K course has gotten off to a great start, with huge improvements already being seen in both the beginners and progressive groups. Thanks Keith Sanderson, Anthony Ashford and all others who have given up their time to encourage others in our amazing sport!
