Buxton Athletic Club is proud to present the 45th Buxton Half Marathon. The single-lap route begins by Buxton Opera House, heads into stunning Peak District countryside and returns to a memorable finish in Pavilion Gardens.

With around 1,508ft / 460m of ascent, this is a rewarding challenge rather than a flat PB course. Expect spectacular scenery, friendly marshals and enthusiastic support all the way home.

Start & finish

The race starts beside Buxton Opera House and finishes in Pavilion Gardens, St John’s Road, Buxton SK17 6BE.

The route

A scenic single lap on roads through the hills around Buxton. Prepare for sustained climbing, open views and a fast return into town.
