The date and venue for this year’s British Fell Relay Championships has been set. The event, hosted by Dark Peak Fell Runners will take place just 20 miles from Buxton, near Ladybower Reservoir on Saturday 19th October 2019!

Dark peak have started work on the event website, although the routes have not yet been published. It’s possible that the Salt Cellar fell race in August will cover some of the same ground. Past tournaments have featured an individual leg of about 5 miles, followed by a pairs leg of around 8. This was followed by a pairs navigation leg of 6 miles or more and finally a 4½ mile individual leg.

This is the premier event in the fell running calendar with many of the country’s best fell runners (and triathletes) in attendance. Last year we fielded open and veteran men’s team and an open women’s team when the event took place in Ambleside. This year, with such a convenient location we could potentially field even more teams.
