The sixth race in the Staffordshire Moorlands Summer Series was held las Thursday at Biddulph Grange. Buxton AC juniors once again had a fantastic team turn out with outstanding results all round!

Leading the team was Harry Bond who came 4th overall – 1st in his age category followed by Jake O’Donnell 6th overall and also first in his category.  Both boys are first in their age categories in the overall series.  In the girls race Lucy Bednall tops the tables as first girl overall and first in her age category.  Similarly Sienna Phillips who was 3rd girl overall and Amy Whelan 4th girl overall – all three girls are top of their age categories and make up the girls team who are also winning the league.  Abbie Fryer-Winder also put in a strong performance to come in 6th girl and 2nd in her category.  In the U11 Fun Run Lucy Whelan came a fantastic 2nd girl, with 7 year old Jim Burgess putting in a fabulous run to come in 10th boy.

Also having a great weekend at the weekend were the Buxton AC junior Park runners.  Amy Whelan and Matt Rolfe ran at Lyme Park on Saturday with Amy coming in 4th lady overall 1st junior girl and Matt coming 2nd in his age category.  Amy also ran Whaley Junior Parkrun on Sunday coming in 2nd girl overall. It was a real family affair at Whaley with Amy’s sister Lucy coming in 4th under 10 girl.  The Cudahy sisters of Rachel, Hannah and Georgia managed to run personal bests with big sister Rebecca only a few seconds off hers!  Callum Wymer completed the team coming in 10th under 10 boy – 46 ran.
