Buxton Juniors got off to a super start at the first in the Staffordshire Moorlands Summer Series races at Tittersworth Reservoir this Thursday with 7 youngsters gaining top 3 age category results.

In the Fun Run for juniors under 11 Lena Goulding had an excellent race finishing 2nd girl with team mate Emily Jones not far behind in 4th. Henry Hazelhurst led the boys home in 6th, followed by Dylan Gray who finished fast in 9th, Jim Burgess in 12th and Benji Gray in 16th.

The Junior race for those aged 11 to 15 years saw Sienna Phillips put in an outstanding run to come 2nd girl overall – 1st Junior Female aged 12. Heather Wilshaw ran well to come first 15 year old girl with team mate Ava Hazelhurst in 2nd – 6th and 10th overall. Harry Bond led the Buxton boys home coming 3rd overall – 1st junior male 15, with Jake O’Donnell hot on his heels in 4th taking the lead in the JM12 category. Brother Ben came in 12th – 2nd JM14 followed by Matt Rolfe in 16th – 4th junior male aged 11.
