Youngsters needed to compete in at least 3 of the 5 races to achieve an overall League position – which an impressive 10 Buxton Juniors achieved.  Amy Whelan had another great run in the under 17 girls race to come in 7th – giving her an overall league position of an impressive 5th.

In the under 15 race Sienna Philips ran well to come in 37th whilst under 13 girls Grace Longden and Rebecca Cudahy were 20th and 63rd respectively.  Rebecca completed the series to finish in an overall 45th position.  Rebecca’s sister Rachel also completed the series finishing 52nd overall in the under 11 girls – after achieving 43rd position in this race.  Team mate Lena Goulding also had a great race to come in 42nd – leaving her 43rd overall.

Jack Cook lead the under 13 boys home in a fantastic 9th over, with team mates Tommy Goulding and Matt Rolfe 48th and 53rd.  The boys were 11th team overall with Jack taking a final league position of 10th, Tommy 39th and Matt 41st.

The awesome under 11 boys team of Jonty Brown and Dylan Gray were 17th and 36th in this race, giving them final league positions of 21st and 39th.

Buxton team manager said “Well done to all the juniors who took part in this highly competitive league, you have all worked really hard and every single athlete has progressed over the course of the 5 races.  We are all really proud of you!”
