Rawlinson Achieves National Standard

Buxton AC junior Ryan Rawlinson represented Derbyshire in the Northern Inter-Counties Track and Field Championships held at Harvey Hadden Stadium, Nottingham.  Rawlinson qualified to represent Derbyshire as the not only the fastest under 13 male 100m runner but also the 200m, and earned a place on the Derbyshire relay team.

First up was the 100m where he came an outstanding 2nd place in a new PB time of 13.08 seconds.   Not satisfied with that he went on to also come 2nd in the 200m in another PB time of 27.52. He went on to help the Derbyshire team to a 4th place in the relays.

Rawlinson’s times in both events were outstanding and qualified him for recognition from the prestigious Amateur Athletic Association Track and Field Standards which recognise outstanding performances.  Ryan’s performance in the 100m earnt him an AAA Grade 2 award which means his time was within 15% fastest times for his age group recorded NATIONALLY!.  His performance in the 200m earnt an AAA Grade 3 award – top 30% fastest time in Britain.
