Ryan Rawlingson Buxton AC juniors rising sprint star has yet again shown the opposition his heels to be crowned the North of England under 13 100m Champion.
Rawlingson took the victory at the Northern Athletics “Start Fitness” Track and Field Championships 2018 was held on 11-12th August at newly re-furbished Wavertree Athletics Centre, Liverpool. He also jumped at personal best in the Long Jump to come 9th overall. Also taking part in the under 15 girls 800m was Abbie Fryer-Winder who had a great run in her heat narrowly missing out on a place in the finals. The Northern Athletics Championships is a highly prestigious event open to all athletes from the Counties of Cheshire, Cleveland, Cumbria, Derbyshire, Durham, Gtr Manchester, Humberside, Isle of Man, Lancashire, Lincolnshire, Merseyside, Northumberland, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, Tyne & Wear and West Yorkshire.
Rawlingson has also been selected to represent Derbyshire in the Inter-Counties Track and Field Championships next month where he will run in the 100m and the 4 x10m relays.
