Hope Wakes Fell Race on Wednesday formed part of the Accelerate Fell Series and also the Buxton Junior Fell Championships and Buxton Juniors were out in force!

The Fun Run was split into a 1 lap and 2 laps.  Evie Willis ran the 1 lap and was 1st Buxton girl.  In the 2 laps Flo Brown won as first U10 girl with team mate Rachel Cudahy in 2nd.  The Junior Race was for those aged 10 – 16 years with the older runners ding an extended route.  Buxton’s Jonty Brown was 2nd U11 boy with team mate Liam Jones in 10th.  Molly Golden was 11th U11 girl followed by Rebecca Cudahy in 12th.  Heather Wilshaw ran the extended course winning the U16 girls prize.

In the adults race Sam Soles had a great run to finish 10th overall – 1st U17 male, chased home by Jacob Winfield in 13th place – 2nd in the U23 male category.
